When it comes to what it means to be human from the broadest perspective, uBuntu is one of South Africa’s greatest and highly respected gifts to ourselves and the world.  It is our South African Identity... our 'Brand SA.'  Whilst there are many wonderful academic papers about uBuntu and many loose answers to what uBuntu is, we felt that there was a need for a basic but comprehensive answer to the question.  A proper summary of what uBuntu is about.

We are sowing of the seeds of uBuntu into the world and helping it to grow within as many people as possible through this foundational course.

SEEDS of uBuntu is perfect for individuals as well any group of people that want to get a comprehensive understanding of what uBuntu is.  It has been very popular among international visitors – individuals as well as groups who want to get an understanding of our Spirit and our culture.

The course that is suitable for people aged 15 and older consists of an introduction, as well as nine lectures:

  1. Call for uBuntu
  2. Worldviews
  3. Origins, Meanings and Definitions of u Buntu
  4. The Universal Laws of uBuntu
  5. Honoring Mother Nature
  6. Values and Principles
  7. Formal Presence of uBuntu in South Africa
  8. Cultural Expression
  9. How to Nurture, Grow, and Share uBuntu.

COURSE STRUCTURE AND PROCEDURE.

Our courses are made up of two elements:

Course video lectures.

The total length of our courses varies between an hour and a half and two hours.

Open book exam.

To give students the best opportunity to learn about uBuntu, our exams are not automated.  After having watched the course lectures, students are required to write an open book exam that is made up of questions that require personal insight.

Course duration.

Watching the lecture videos. We generally allow a person thirty days to complete watching the lectures from the day of enrolment.  We reserve the right to disqualify students that do not finish within this time limit.

Completing the exam. Individual independent students receive their exam papers after having watched all their course video lectures and are given fourteen days to complete their exam after which they are issued with their relevant course certificate.

Advancing through the lectures. Students are required to move through the lectures sequentially.  To move to the next lecture requires completion of the one before.

Tracking student progress. Because each and every student is treated as a valued individual, student progress is tracked throughout the study process.

GROUPS ENROLMENTS.
Whilst the aforementioned guidelines apply in general when it comes to the procedure, groups have their own specific completion timelines, dates, and exams.
