We love looking back on the time, a number of years ago, when we pioneered our first “What is uBuntu?” course. And we are pleased about how this developed into the creation of our “SEEDS of uBuntu” uBuntu Keepers certification course that many people all over the world have done and enjoyed.
From our humble beginnings, we now have our own online uBuntu school, have published another course, and have a few more that are at various stages of completion.
OVERVIEW AND GENERAL COURSE INFORMATION
SEMI-FACILITATED AND PERSONAL TOUCH.
We have always had the approach to ‘stay with’ our students in a semi-facilitated and personal way. Over the years, our students – and us, have enjoyed learning and growing together; something that we choose to continue to do.
All of our certification courses are known as uBuntu Keepers courses – meaning that they carry ‘uBuntu Keepers’ (‘person of excellence’) authentication. Students become part of the growing uBuntu Keepers community.
Our courses are completed through the following procedures and timelines:
COURSE PROCEDURE AND TIMELINES.
Our courses are made up of two elements:
- Course video lectures. The total length of our courses varies between an hour and a half and two hours.
- Open book exam. Students are required to write an open book exam that is made up of questions that require personal insight…… giving students the best opportunity to learn about uBuntu. Exam question papers are sent to students at the time of enrolment making it possible for students to work on their exam answers while they are watching the lectures.
Course duration.
- We generally allow a person thirty days to complete watching the lectures and to complete the exam from the day of enrolment. The relevant certificate is issued after the exam has been marked. We reserve the right to disqualify students that do not finish within this time limit.
Advancing through the lectures.
Students are required to move through the lectures sequentially. To move to the next lecture requires completion of the one before.
Tracking student progress.
Because each and every student is treated as a valued individual, student progress is tracked throughout the study process.
GROUP ENROLMENTS.
PRIOR ARRANGEMENT
To enroll for any of our courses as a group happens through prior arrangement so that we are able to ascertain which course is the best suitable for your group and to determine any special requirements that you may have.
We have a discount of 10% on the course fee for groups of ten and more, as well as Non-Governmental and Non-Profit Organisations. Whilst the aforementioned guidelines apply in general when it comes to the procedure, we tailor-make workshops and handle group bookings manually according to the special requirements of the group.
Exam papers can also be designed to achieve specific group outcomes.

uBuntu Keepers Certification is for:
1. Individuals and groups – local and international, that have a love for South Africa and a heart for our African and traditional Wisdom, culture, and indigenous knowledge… for uBuntu.
2. People who see the need for and the value of uBuntu. Who are keen to learn about uBuntu, to live it, and to share it with others. They have the desire to create possibilities and solutions for the challenges of the world through the Consciousness of our humanness, our inter-dependence, and our oneness… our uBuntu.
3. Visitors to South Africa who want to know more about the beautiful Spirit, the Soul, and the Essence of our country and its people.
4. Since it deals with being human, uBuntu is at play in all spheres of life such as business and economics, education, governance and leadership, justice, nature and the environment, relations, spirituality, science, etc.
With this, we can create a certification program for specific areas of interest such as business and leadership, social cohesion, social welfare, community psychology, arts and culture, parenting, restitution, law and justice, relationship, spirituality, service delivery, etc.
5. For the growing global Unity/Oneness Conscious community who would like to know what our Oneness and being human means from the African uBuntu perspective, how it works, how it is found in South African society, and how it may be nurtured and shared.
6. There is a great need in society for soft skills education which is why the program and becoming an uBuntu Keeper is great for individuals and any group that are keen to develop their own values and principles and mold their aspirations and other soft skills such as deep thinking and possibility thinking, problem identification and solving, decision-making, leadership, respect for diversity, capacity to respond, etc. uBuntu should be the foundation of all education and learning in South Africa.

Since we wanted to bring uBuntu to the hearts and the minds of as many people as possible, our pioneer course has become our free gift to the world. “What is uBuntu?” provides a comprehensive answer to the question and consists of eight lectures – free of charge, that are available on our YouTube Channel.
UBUNTU KEEPERS CERTIFICATION COURSES
Our foundational course.
1. SEEDS of uBuntu
Because uBuntu is part of who we are as human beings, we want to introduce uBuntu to everyone and play a role in helping uBuntu to grow within each and every one of us. This is the purpose of our foundational course on uBuntu that contains nine lectures.
SEEDS of uBuntu is perfect for individuals as well as groups, local, as well as international, to get a comprehensive understanding of what uBuntu is. This course has been very popular among international people with a love for South Africa, our culture, and our spirituality. It is great for people visiting South Africa.
FIELD SPECIFIC COURSES
uBuntu is also at play in all spheres of society which is why we develop courses on uBuntu that are field specific. The purpose of these courses is to infuse the different spheres of society with the beautiful Spirit of uBuntu. We look at the main aspects of the relevant fields thought the lens of uBuntu; enriching the various spheres of society on the one hand, and on the other, giving uBuntu its rightful place in society.
2. uBuntu for the Tourism and Hospitality Industry.
In this special course on uBuntu we highlight numerous Tourism and Hospitality gifts that South Africa has to offer through the lens of uBuntu – our African Spiritual heritage… the Essence of Who We Are… through our South African Identity and way of being, in such a way that uBuntu is seen as the way to follow when it comes to how we approach, manage and conduct our Tourism and Hospitality ventures and initiatives.
This course is of great value for anyone in the field of tourism and hospitality; local as well as international.
